Choose Show Controller from the Movie menu to bring up the floating controller window. (If the controller is open this menu will read Hide Controller.)
The controller shows you the name of the active movie, the movie’s current frame count and the volume. It also allows you to control the play of the movie.
When pressed, the first button steps the movie backwards a frame. If held down, the button fast scans the movie in reverse. The next button stops or starts the play of the movie. The third buttons steps or scans the movie forward, in the same manner as the first button. The forth button lowers the volume if pressed on the left and raises the volume if pressed on the right.
Below the buttons is the movie shuttle slider control. Slide the thumb of this control to instantly shuttle the movie to any point relative to the shuttle thumb. (e.g. If the thumb is moved to three-quarters of the way across the slide bar, the movie will be forwarded to three-quarters of the way finished.)
The zoom box at the top left of the window bar collapses the controller window down to a small bar.
